Creighton is a northern Saskatchewan town named after Thomas Creighton. It sits right on the Saskatchewan–Manitoba border, next to the Manitoba community of Flin Flon, and the two towns share a great many services across the line.
Because Creighton is small, the Government of Saskatchewan allows its residents, along with those of Denare Beach, Sandy Bay and Pelican Narrows, to use Flin Flon's basic and emergency medical services, including the Flin Flon General Hospital Ambulance Service. The nearest Saskatchewan medical centre is Prince Albert, about 300 kilometres to the southwest. Flin Flon's radio and TV stations are also available in Creighton, and Creighton and Denare Beach informally observe daylight saving time, despite Saskatchewan's rules against it, to stay in step with Flin Flon.
Creighton Community School, which serves students from Creighton and Denare Beach from Pre-K through Grade 12, is the town's main school, and Northlands College maintains a campus in town.
